Feedback on this retreat
We came to Poulstone Court in June with the CTET course, and although a little tricky to find initially found the place to have a lovely quality of stillness and acceptance. The food was absolutely wonderful, and every effort was made to accommodate all the varied combination of dietary requirements. The cakes where an essential part of tea time, and there was enough for all. We where made to feel very welcome as a group. Thanks
Arlene, London

It is our wish that groups who come here really feel that Poulstone is "their space" for the duration of their stay. A sensitive and caring staff team are available at all times if needed but otherwise we let ourselves be very much in the background, allowing the group to feel fully at home. People tell us it is easy to work here because the environment is so supportive energetically and practically.
We have three group rooms - our meditation room in the main house, a comfortable spacious sitting room for breaks and the Barn in the grounds which is ideal for movement and other work. The group rooms here are full of presence and undoubtedly enhanced by the work that takes place in them. However, they are also clear spaces ready for you to use. When you come to Poulstone it is simply ready for you to begin your work. The clarity of the environment gives you an excellent starting point whatever your path or discipline.
The food is vegetarian, varied and plentiful. We often have people say they could become vegetarian after a visit to Poulstone! We cater for special diets at no extra cost and aim to provide a delicious alternative for those on restricted diets. We take the worry out of eating away from home for those with allergies and intolerances.
The gardens at Poulstone are a delight. The ha-ha (raised terrace) circling the front of the house gives uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. The big skies here are an ever-changing inspiration. Wide, even lawns are perfect for Tai Chi and other movement practices. The walled garden offers many secluded areas for you to sit and be.
Accommodation is in 10 spacious bedrooms plus we have a two-bedroomed facilitator's flat with its own lounge, kitchen and bathroom. Altogether we can sleep 34 people. Each room has lovely views across the gardens and fields. Poulstone is a favourite venue for many groups who return to us year after year. Michael Kern of the Craniosacral Therapy Education Trust brings groups here each summer and says he returns because of "the stunning beauty of the house and surrounding countryside, the comfortable bedrooms and clear workshop spaces...combined with the delicious food and the non-intrusive, helpful and dedicated care of the staff".
Poulstone is run by Stephen Evans and Melanie Jones. We are passionate about providing a space in which people can be supported to make a real difference in their lives. In many ways what we do at Poulstone is very simple. We aim to do the small, simple things with great care and love. Come and visit us to see for yourself! We are available for visits between groups and happy to spend time discussing your group's requirements. We offer one night's bed and breakfast for two people free when you visit us. We hope to see you soon!
