What is Yoga?
Yoga means union; union of mind, body & spirit.
When a student is guided properly by an experienced teacher, Yoga can be a profound and deeply healing experience. Shining Tree yoga utilises floor work as well as standing postures, and can be adjusted to suit all abilities.

What is Qigong?

Qigong means cultivating energy or life force. Techniques can be the holding of static poses with gentle breathing (this can be standing, sitting or even lying down) or dynamic, combining breathing with movement and self massage.

Shining Tree Good Eating

Shining Tree Healing Retreats

A wholesome menu includes allergy free, vegan and organic (when possible) foods, green juices, sprouting, and rejuvelac.

Guests join in with the preparation of the main meal of the day, forming part of a workshop to teach specific principles of healthy cooking. There will also be a ‘Living foods' workshop on the retreat, where we explore the benefits of ‘Living Foods', the chlorophyll-rich, enzyme-rich and most nutrition packed of raw plant foods, including sprouted seeds and juices.

Please check out our website to see the four day retreat menu.

Indoor Heated Swimming Pool

Shining Tree Healing Retreats

Our private 20ft x 40ft pool serves two main functions; exercise and relaxation. The water temperature is set around 28-29 degrees centigrade so you will always feel warm and relaxed. The pool is 4ft deep all round so that less confident swimmers will never feel out of their depth.

Sauna
Traditionally, the sauna has been used as a method to cleanse the body. Today, as well as cleansing, the relief of aches, pain and relaxation are some of the main benefits. Studies have also shown that circulation, lymphatic and respiratory functions can improve along with detoxification of the body.
