We do not offer you a golden formula or seven simple steps to life improvement. What we offer is more and simpler than these. We show you yourself emerging, your potential, your worthiness.
Let us introduce you to your self, unique. valiant, beautiful and resilient, free of the fears, worries and fetters of the past, able to recognise your way and knowing that you can follow it with grace, humour and joy.

I created Ashwhin to be a place apart. A place where you may explore, may learn, may rest and relax, learn to be here in the moment , appreciate all that you are and more - to see the emerging you, love that self and go on your way more surely.

What makes Ashwhin Unique?
The placeDunstaffnage Mains Farm was built in the 1700s and has the feel of being rooted in the landscape, a part of the elemental forces of nature, a rock and a place of protection and tranquillity. You will notice the shift in energy when you enter the gate, as if you are stepping into a different time. The energy here allows you to slow down, to rest fully and yet to feel enthusiastic and hopeful - energised on all levels
The Year round beauty and welcomeThe farmhouse is our home, and we are delighted to welcome you here at any time of the year. Every season has its charms, and the heating, hot water, and loads more is included. From November to February we offer three day weekend and midweek breaks at a reduced rate and with your choice of a bottle of wine to warm your cockles or one of our flower essences to gently support you.
Argyll is a very special part of Scotland - combining the extraordinary beauty of the islands with the soft mystery of the glens. The climate encourages a stunningly wide diversity of plants and trees, and the area is famous for its ancient gardens, as well as the wilder walks through glens and atop the hills and mountains
The wildlife is plentiful, and even in our own garden the wild rabbits have come to be friends and calmly nibble the grass year round, taking no particular notice of our cats and dogs. Our "furkids" are gentle and loving and will be delighted to be a part of your holiday, to befriend you and show you their favourite walks, or simply to keep you company and sit by your feet while you read.
Training and self discovery adapted to your needs

Our wonderful range of topics has grown naturally from my own experience and interests, and I have always been curious about life and grown and self development.
We have recently begun offering certificated workshops for those of you who are deeply interested in exploring a specific topic and also for therapists who need to attend regular ongoing training as part of their professional membership or insurance qualifications.
All the topics can be adapted so that you can enjoy an introduction or immerse yourself for hours or days. All certificated courses can be offered on a one to one basis, so if you are needing a break and to do a course you can easily combine the two.

Submit your comment here..."To date I have visited Ashwhin twice and on each occasion it more than lived up to its aims. I found a gentle safe place within which I was encouraged and facilitated through a period of intense personal discovery and healing. Like the ubiquitous can of wood preserver, if you're willing to engage with what it has to offer, Ashwhin does just what it says in the advert! "

"I am so grateful for the time which I spent with Derby this year. She gave me a big gift: With her love and her competence in working with reiki I was able to do my reikiteacher and -master. The atmosphere and the energies at Dunstaffnage Mains Farm are so wonderful and helpful for me. Thank you very much, Derby! I hope we will see us together! Many greetings from Germany, Koblenz "

"I had a very needed break where I could have peace when I wanted and company when I needed and some fabulous therapies thrown in for good measure - all in tranquil and beautiful surroundings. Thank you Derby and Peter & all the aminals!"
Kate McEwen, Argyll
"It was a perfect place for me to reflect and think about the terrible suffering my partner and husband of 20 years had gone through for 7 months before his death in January 2006. I needed the warmth of the welcome the lovely Derby and Peter gave me. I also loved the treatments available and the space to do my own thing. Comfortable, warm and well appointed attractive 'cottage' and healing care. Thank you xxx"
