Monte Rosa provides an ideal place to rest and relax with no agenda. It is also a convenient base, if you prefer a more active holiday break. Whether in a group, with your family or by yourself.
Set in 10 acres of restful rural countryside, among old olive trees and almond groves, with excellent "home cooking", Monte Rosa's location is ideal if you wanted a base for walking, surfing, bird watching, sailing, etc.
Located 10 minutes from the historical town of Lagos, one hour easy drive from Faro airport and 15 minutes from beautiful Algarve beaches.

"Rio Torto retreat is the perfect place to unwind and appreciate natural surroundings. the sunsets pink in the evenings over the lake, and the countryside is bursting with wild flowers and interesting bird song. Rio Torto retreat is perfect , Either as a weeks holiday or a weekend away.. there are walks to explore, water sports to conquer, sun to be bathed in and food to be eaten. the owner, lesley stephens was very flexible and friendly and was able to answer all our questions well before we arrived. we took a wedding party of 20 friends to enjoy the retreat for 2 weeks before and after the wedding which was at another location. Lesley also runs special themed childrens camps, holistic workshops and tai chi retreats. "
