Using our Wellbeing Store
Our servers use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption. This is an industry-standard protocol to transfer information via the Internet securely. When SSL encryption is being used you will see the padlock symbol in your browser and the URL will begin HTTPS as opposed to HTTP. Our servers are running with the maximum level of SSL encryption that is commercially available, ie. 128 bit. As well as SSL, we use secondary encryption for data stored on our servers, as well as dedicated firewalls to ensure that your data remains safe.
Making A Purchase
Making a purchase is easy at The Retreat Company. Simply, browse through our product catalogue and when you find something you like click on the link to read the products specification. Select any options as indicated and set the quantity (default is 1). Then click the ‘add to basket’ button. You will then be asked to confirm your selection. You can now carry on shopping.
To change or cancel your order, click the basket link on the left of the page. Change the quantity of any item on your order and press the ‘update order’ button. To remove an item from your shopping basket press the ‘remove’ button next to the relevant item. To cancel your order completely, press the ’empty basket’ button.
How to Pay
Click the checkout link, follow the on screen instructions and enter your payment details on our secure server. You will be sent an email confirming that your order has been placed. Please ensure that you enter your details accurately, especially your email address and telephone number as we may need to contact you regarding your order.
Payments can be made online through our automated system, with debit or credit card over the phone, by bank transfer or cheque.
We can not accept credit/debit card details by email as this is not a secure payment method.
Paying by cheque or postal order
Ordering from the UK – Please print out your order form and enclose it with your cheque or postal order made payable to The Retreat Company and send it to us at the address above. However, please note that we cannot dispatch your goods until the cheque or postal order has cleared. If you are ordering outside the UK, please telephone the Retreat Company 00 44 0116 2599211 as we will need to weigh your goods and give you a postal quote outside the postage and packaging rates displayed on the web site.

We charge a flat rate of £3.95 for orders under £175.00
All orders over £175.00 have free P&P
This is per order for all postage and packaging within mainland UK. This charge remains the same regardless of the amount of items ordered.Orders outside of mainland UK, please contact us for a P&P quote
Delivery and returns
Your order will normally be dispatched and delivered within 7 working days. We will inform you if we need to backorder any items, giving you the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
“What if I just don’t like the goods when they arrive?”
Return it to us UNUSED within 14 days of purchase and we will give you the option of a full refund or replacement. Ensure that the product is in its original packaging and that the manufacturers’ tags are still attached where appropriate.
WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT RETURNED GOODS IF THEY ARE STILL OF MERCHANDISABLE QUALITY. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNED GOODS IF THEY HAVE OBVIOUSLY BEEN USED OR DAMAGED.
“But what if I discover that they are faulty?”
Don’t worry, if on receipt of your goods you discover they are faulty or damaged please contact us as soon as possible. We will either, refund the goods, replace or repair them or issue a credit note.
If you need to return an item we want to make it as easy and painless as possible for you. In order to do this please take the following steps so that we can process your package on its return.
- Either e-mail or phone us and explain the situation.
- One of our customer service team will then give you a returns number. (This number MUST be written on the outside of your return package)
- Ensure that the return is packaged appropriately
- Enclose a brief note explaining the reason for the return
- Write your returns number on the outside
If you follow these steps we will be able to process your return quickly and efficiently. This does not affect your statutory rights. We will try to respond to all suggestions & delivery issues within 48 hours and all contact information is kept confidential.
