Puyssentut is a medieval château with all modern comforts and luxuries. Its thick stone walls keep the temperature pleasantly cool during hot Summer days, and during Winter protect from the elements. The spacious bedrooms, with en-suite bathrooms, offer a refuge, while the comfortable lounges and dining room are perfect spaces to relax with others.
The Château is set in pretty gardens with views across fields and woodlands. You can soak up some sun and socialise around the pool or the juice bar, or alternatively there is plenty of space to find a quiet spot to read, rest and contemplate.
We believe that eating well can play a major role in your healing process which is why we provide delicious, nutritionally balanced meals in a convivial atmosphere.
Meals are prepared without meat, dairy products or sugar and are high in vegetables and wholefoods to help your body detox and strengthen your immune system.
Carefully choosing and preparing what you eat can also be a simple way to take back some personal control, which cancer often seems to rip away. You can learn more about nutrition through our informal talks and gain hands-on experience of recipes you can make at home.
Treatments and Activities
The treatments and activities we offer are intended to treat you not to treat cancer. We hope they will help you relax and replenish your body, explore and express your emotions in a supportive, understanding environment, and soothe and focus your mind.
Working with specially trained and experienced therapists and teachers we offer a variety of complementary therapies, classes and talks including yoga, meditation, various types of massage and manipulative treatments, energy healing and visualisation.
Each day is punctuated by long rest periods during which you can retire to your comfortable room, relax in the garden or enjoy a walk.
Puyssentut is a non-profit organisation, which means we aim to keep prices low. In addition we have established the Puyssentut Foundation (a registered charity in the Netherlands) which offers financial help to those who would like to stay at Puyssentut but cannot afford to.
