Mindfulness and Compassion Weekend Retreat

Giving a space for a mindful invitation to become present with a contemplative and kindly approach to oneself, within a supportive and calm environment.

We are not stepping out of our life, rather stepping into whatever arises in the moment, giving ourselves compassionate and generous attention, allowing a trusting of the unfolding moment by moment experience.
We notice how our experiences of life can change, without the hustle and bustle of everyday stresses and pressures, see unhelpful habitual reactions, repeating anxieties, and begin to explore and come alongside with kindness and compassion. This helps us to find the moments of positive change and joy, so easily overlooked in the normal, everyday life, which helps us to nourish and nurture our emotional well-being, create restorative balance and a sense of equilibrium with our unfolding experiences.
For more details of the weekend programme please look at the website.

The Georgian Stables and Haywain have good access and facilities for wheelchair users and we have designated accessible parking areas. There is level access to most of the garden also.

Eco Practices

We have chosen the venue of Hellens as they work together to grow an environment where everyone who lives, works and plays is warmly encouraged to be curious, learn and enjoy through their educational, social, cultural and outdoor activities. They do this by striving to celebrate and respect the legacy of the beautiful home while aiming to do that in a way that is evergreen, collaborative and cooperative.
We endeavour to use local resources throughout the retreat weekend.

Directions and Travel

This warm and embracing venue is in the Georgian Stables and Haywain Barn at Hellens Manor, a hidden treasure in the rolling hills of the county of Herefordshire, set in the village of Much Marcle, with the Malvern Hills to one side, and the Marcle Ridge to the other, a nourishing and nurturing space for a retreat weekend. Hellens lies just off the A 449 – the Ledbury to Ross on Wye road. Follow the brown signs from the crossroads in the centre of Much Marcle Village. what3words – apples.putty.porridge
