The perfect wellness retreat for animal lovers, our Rest ~ Restore ~ Rewild experience allows you to deeply relax and switch off from the pressures of everyday life, nourishing your body and soul and connecting with the animals in a kind and compassionate way.
We begin with forest bathing and mindfulness in the beautiful woodland and grounds of Armathwaite Hall Hotel led by Jen from Lakeland Wellbeing followed by a luxurious afternoon tea overlooking the panoramic views of the lake. Then, it's a short stroll across the deer park to the Lake District Wildlife Park for an exclusive after hours mindfulness with animals experience with Jen & Lucy from the Wildlife Park, with highlights of mindfully grooming the tapirs & meditating with the giant tortoises.
Forest bathing is a gentle activity and distance covered is approx 1.5km on foot.
The Armathwaite Hall Estate comprises of over 200 Hectares, including SSSI sites (Site of Special Scientific Interest).
The Estate is managed to enhance biodiversity using low input farming and forestry practices to create a mosaic of habitats. Domestic breeds such as Belted Galloways and Bagot goats can be seen living alongside numerous species of wild animals the likes of otter, barn owls, roe deer brown hare are frequently seen not to mention the abundance of wild flowers.
The Lake District Wildlife Park actively supports three charities and as BIAZA members participates in six endangered species programmes including Red Pandas..
