Sea Kayaking Retreat, Scotland

A unique retreat to help you connect with nature and find your own inner flow. This will be a great opportunity to enjoy all the beauty and benefits that time on the water brings.

Description

You might know that ‘Blue zones’ are the areas of the world identified as supporting greatest wellbeing; and natural ‘blue’ environments are recognised as being beneficial to our health. The negative ions of the water support our positive vibes! Our sea kayaking retreat is set in the beautiful Morayshire area of Scotland surrounded by forest and mountain energy to support natural wellness and vitality.

As much as possible, we will find sheltered, peaceful locations to explore on the beautiful coast. Costs will include all equipment hire, sea kayaks, instruction and guiding. It will also include supportive sessions with tools to help you balance and strengthen your mind and body. We will have coaching conversations and support you on your journey to whichever horizons lie ahead.

Accessibility

We aim to make our activities as accessible as possible to all. Karen Darke (organiser and facilitator) uses a wheelchair to get around (paralysed), so if you are interested to join this, we will endeavour to do our best to adapt and find ways to accommodate your participation.

Eco Practices

We aim to reduce the negative and increase the positive impacts of our events, deepening commitment to social and environmental best practice. Whilst retreats and events often involve travel, we acknowledge that the benefits of experiencing and sharing other environments, cultures and connection with new people is important. We encourage travellers to be as responsible and considerate as possible to the environment, economy and social impacts during your time away. Our Responsible Travel Policy includes: a Responsible Travellers Code of Conduct, and we have a Responsible Impact Policy regarding our own environmental, economic and social impacts.

Directions and Travel

We will be based in Roseisle, Morayshire, and we will kayak in various locations on the nearby Moray coast: Hopeman, Burghead, Findhorn bay etc. Given the rural location of the event, having your own vehicle or bike for getting around would be helpful. If traveling by public transport, the nearest railway stations are Elgin or Forres (6.5 miles or 9 miles respectively). The nearest airport is Inverness, 29 miles away (approx.. 40 mins by vehicle.
