This retreat will provide you with the tools to manage negative thoughts, a space to be you and develop coping strategies for overwhelming feelings. You will come away knowing what to do to help you move forward with peace of mind as well as confidence in yourself and the tools you have gained.
At this retreat you will get a chance to connect and gain inspiration from likeminded people, who have been where you are before and understand.
In turn that will help you to feel heard and not so alone with your struggles.
This retreat is available at other locations in the UK throughout the year.
Using a combination of positive psychology and mindset reset techniques
Enjoy time away from the stresses of life to revive yourself, feel refreshed and clearer in your mind with some great skills to move forward. Get out of that rut and repetitive cycle of negative thoughts so you can feel free and calmer. We provide, non compulsory, ongoing support for 3 months following the retreat to implement the ‘new you’ into your life back home after the retreat and to also have someone supporting you as you make the changes. These sessions are held via zoom, phone or video call.
A safe and nurturing retreat for you to take real time out
We aim to make your experience fun and relaxing as well as taking a serious concern for addressing mental health and healing. In the evenings we get together for group discussions or break away in small groups for social time or even some games or card readings for fun for those who are interested. If you simply was to retire to bed or go for an evening walk you are welcome.
Showing you how to be in the moment and find inner calm
Through the yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices we teach you on the retreat you will be able to access an inner calm. The location of The House by the Loch provides the perfect location to connect with nature to experience the calming effect of the still waters of the Loch and have time to 'breathe' and relax.
During the retreat we will give you reflection time and the space to 'notice' what comes up for you in the peace of the retreat and to process any feelings or emotions that come up. Our therapists will be on hand to support your journey through the few days of the retreat, helping you to understand your feelings and thoughts and to move forward in your recovery journey.
Onsite home cook food provided by our resident chef
We pride ourselves on providing great, nutritious home cooked food on our retreats. Our chef will provide us will a full menu of 3 nutritious meals per day to support wellbeing and to help you to feel so well fed and cared for. No need to worry about being hungry, we take care of all your nutrition needs. Healthy snacks are available too throughout the day.
Group sessions based on a range of evidence based therapies
Through a series of group workshops during the retreat facilitated by group facilitators and therapists you can explore your relationship with yourself and dig deep to build solutions and ways forward for your mental wellbeing. In the workshops we use a variety of methods, pair work, creative work, group discussions, teachings and guided meditations to support your process of personal discovery and journey towards wellness.
A one to one session with a qualified psychotherapist
During the retreat you will receive a one to one session with a qualified psychotherapist or coach. This will be time for you to explore in more depth your needs or share things you do not want to share in the group setting.
The therapists and coaches are also available throughout the retreat for any extra one to one support you may need.
Sessions provided on self compassion, self forgiveness and self acceptance
A benefit of a retreat is the opportunity to connect with like minded people. By sharing with others you can take away that sense of isolation and loneliness that often comes with Anxiety and Depression.
We explore Mindful Self compassion in depth looking at those negative thoughts we have towards ourselves. Self compassion helps you to find a way to be kinder to yourself hence allowing you to build more positive relationships and build your own self esteem and self belief.
Through an interactive session you will be able to shift negative thought patterns and beliefs allowing you to move forward with a more positive approach to your own life. We help you to reconnect with your own sense of inner peace.
