The retreat includes Coaching, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Anxiety and Depression Coaching. Work on your self love and self compassion, being kinder yourself and managing negative thoughts. Experience yoga, meditation as therapies.
This retreat is for men and women over 35 who have been struggling with Anxiety or Depression or have found themselves struggling to cope due to change of circumstances in life or a change. We will support you through that journey and can provide you with ongoing coaching or counselling following the retreat so you really feel the transformation back home afterwards.
Managing negative thoughts and emotions day 1
We will work with you to help you to manage your negative thoughts and develop techniques to deal with overwhelm. We use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, mindfulness and other key skills in thought management. We show you evidence based techniques to bring mindfulness into your life enabling you to feel happier within yourself. This will help you to become more positive in your relationships both with yourself and others. Vanessa also teaches you the brain science behind your thinking so you can understand why you feel the way you do and hence build techniques to support you to be more focused and in the moment. The day will bring you peace of mind, you will understand how to be calmer, reduce worry and anxiety and lift your mood.
Understand your own self worth and your blocks day 2
This day is all about understanding where your self worth comes from and how you have developed it in your life to bring you to where you are today. We will explore all the influencers you have for your self worth and you can decide what you keep and what you leave behind. We support you in this process so you come away with your own sense of self worth and ability to use this in your life helping you to achieve without being held back by that inner critic. You will soar into life post this day with a new purpose and confidence.
Explore your vision for your life, authentically connect with you day 3
On day 3 you will explore your vision for your life and truly connect with it on a subconscious level finding yourself in a position where you automatically build it into your life and become the person you absolutely should be, aligned with your purpose and vision. We wholly see the importance of this process for our clients in reducing stress, anxiety and depression. It is truly magical. An experience not to be missed.
Therapeutic yoga and Meditation to support body and spirit
You will experience gentle yoga to provide you with healing for your body, mind and spirit. Yoga is so supportive for mental wellbeing and mood balance and JJ, your yoga teacher, will demonstrate to you how this can be used on a daily basis to give you real results. JJ has personal experience of anxiety and depression and has personal used yoga and meditation to heal himself. JJ's warm and fun teaching style supports you to overcome any obstacles and to smoothly enjoy the yoga during your stay with us.
One to one sessions with an expert psychotherapist before or after the retreat
We provide 1-1 sessions prior to the retreat, on request, and for 3 months after the retreat if required. The sessions will be with Vanessa Wallace who is an expert and highly experienced Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and Coach skilled in Cognitive programming, mindfulness and self compassion techniques. Vanessa supports her clients to transform their lives finding the peace of mind and balance that they need to move forward with productivity, better relationships and the tools to manage their thoughts and emotions.
The sessions can be held over Skype, zoom or the telephone dependent on your preference.
Opportunity to connect with likeminded people and build support
A benefit of a retreat is the opportunity to connect with likeminded people. By sharing with others you can eliminate any sense of isolation and loneliness. You can come away feeling a sense of being heard and knowing that you are not alone.
Group sessions are facilitated by our Vanessa Wallace and her psychotherapeutic team bringing a family feel to the whole retreat and safety to share and be open about your feelings.
You are not asked to share more than you feel comfortably able to and there is an opportunity for 1-1 session if you prefer to not share in a group.
Hard copy workbook sent to your own home and support with online experience
You will be guided through the whole online experience with a workbook sent out to your home so you do not need to print anything. We are available for questions you may have about logging on online and how the retreat will work. It is vitally important to us that you join feeling as comfortable as possible so you can start to learn effectively and get the best therapeutic experience from the retreat. We keep in contact with you in between the online groups to make sure everything is going ok for you.
This retreat is held online and you will be given full online details and steps to log on. The process is straightforward and user friendly. We suggest you make time for yourself to enjoy and experience this retreat so making sure you have no distractions whilst you are attending to the best of your ability. The team are available to support you through the online process with very personal approach.

There is the option to attend the individual days on this retreat. This is a great introduction if you are considering attending a physical retreat with Vanessa and her team later in the year or in 2021.
