Every person - no matter what their background and no matter what has happened to them - can rise to their dignity, to their absolute self-worth, if only they get the right help. That is the meaning of the Maha Maya Center of Consciousness.
The Center is situated in a very calm area in Kerala, far away from the hustles of tourism and road noisy roads.
In an idyllic place, surrounded by forests, Maha Maya offers lovingly furnished rooms built in the original Indian architectural style. An 8-cornered seminar hall, open to nature on all sides let the cool breeze sweep inside. A temple that invites you to meditate and feel the divine presence.
The Retreat Center invites people from all over the world to come to this special place to reflect, find inner peace and to pursue their personal practices such as HIAO Healing, yoga, etc.
The center welcomes closed groups traveling with their teachers (yoga, meditation, personal development, etc.). The place is rented exclusive for the group.
The seminar center is self-sustaining and allows the long-term funding of the women's project!
The center consists of 3 foundational pillars:
– a healing home (help center for women and children)
– a permaculture garden
– and a retreat center
The center in its entirety sees itself as an Ashram, in which all 3 topics connect with another or serve each other respectively.
Seminar Hall
The beautiful octagonal seminar hall is situated in the magical garden of the Maha Maya land. The walls are open upwards, so that a light breeze flows through the hall. The quiet surrounding and the magical garden accompany your deep meditation with beautiful birdsongs. Deep inner peace becomes a great experience here, because here you can trustfully go on a journey to your inner self.
Working with your retreat members is wonderful in the seminar hall. It offers everything you wish for: yoga mats, seat cushions, yoga blocks, blankets, sound installation.
The temple is situated at the energetic most interesting point of Maha Maya land. It is dedicated to Sanatan Dharma, the origin of all religions.
When we worship Durga and the form of Haidakhandeshvari Ma, we worship the Mother of Creation.
Just like a mother who welcomes all their children, the temple welcomes people from around the globe with different denominations to meditate
May the love of creation become aware to all people entering the temple. May this love lead you to your highest self.
Jai Maha Maya Ki Jai
The retreat center contains 16 rooms with bathroom for double occupation and one extra room for the teacher.
The natural finish of the mudbrick building balance the hot climate during drought and during monsoon.
You will feel very welcome in the loving rooms with their Indian charm and the down-to-earth materials used.
Every room offers a fan.
We offer ecological, vegetarian full board. Vegetables come from our own permaculture and are prepared daily in a tradition Indian way – just not that spicy.
Every retreat guest may feel very secure here, because the cleanliness of the whole center and the kitchen together with the attention we pay to the permaculture and to our whole nutrition, is perceivable in our catering. Come and enjoy your lassi or your shake in the sunshine.
The Maha Maya Center of Consciousness is placed in security in a quiet place of mother nature. The magical garden invites you to calm down, it unites silence and vitality.
An ideal place to focus why you came there. To really profit from your journey there, means to focus completely on yourself and the life that you are. During the retreat breaks you can easily go for a walk or enjoy bicycling.
But of course you will want to enjoy Kerala during your stay, maybe the Indian ocean, the famous, wonderful backwaters, the animals of Kerala or similar.
To make these experiences possible, we organize some nice packages for you, to provide an additional program for your retreat. Meditating at the selected places, like Munar or Ezattumukham, will be energetically interesting for sure!

The destination Airport is Kochi. From there we will pick you up and bring you to the center. It is located outside of Mookkannoor, close to the jungle.
