Join us on Hawaii's Big Island as we dedicate six days to physical, mental, and emotional renewal. On this physician-designed and lead health retreat, you will put into practice the self-care you all know is important but can’t manage to squeeze into your normal lives - nourishing yourselves with whole foods and beautiful natural surroundings; moving your bodies with daily yoga, walks the beach and a volcano hike; getting plenty of sleep and resting your minds by disconnecting from work, social media, and other obligations; and connecting with like-minded people and with your deeper selves. The kitchen staff have thoughtfully designed a whole-foods, phytonutrient-rich menu with organic and locally sourced foods where possible. Meals will be vegetarian and free of refined sugars, gluten, and dairy. Additional food allergies and intolerances can be accommodated.
The menu is subject to change, but examples include:
Breakfast: Acai bowls with assorted toppings and seasonal fruit
Lunch: Chickpea lettuce wraps
Dinner: Baked sweet potatoes with bean chili, cashew sour cream, and green salad
This retreat is located near Hawaii's stunning Puna coast. The group will have exclusive access to this peaceful 10-acre eco-retreat center, now protected by new walls of lava rock from the 2018 Kilauea eruption. Although off-grid, the center has flushing toilets and hot water, with well-appointed and comfortable cabins. Yoga sessions will be held in the open-air yoga hale, with lava-flow and ocean views.
Check in and get settled, before dinner for a welcome beverage and conversation. You will have a delicious meal together and then meet in the yoga hale for some relaxing post-travel Yoga Nidra.

Today's focus will be on understanding stress - an underlying factor in all dis-ease. You'll learn to appreciate an appropriate stress response but also the benefits of and strategies for shifting out of stress when it's no longer helpful. You will wind down your day with an evening restorative yoga class - perfect for relaxation.
Today you will explore the topics of connection and sense of purpose and learn how important they are not just to your mental and emotional health, but your physical health as well. In the evening you'll continue your connection with each other and with the culture of your host island by participating in a Hula lesson, led by one of the island's most experienced instructors.
Today's focus will be on nourishment. You will start the day off with meditation and yoga and then dive into workshops on nutrition for whole health (physical, mental and emotional) and intuitive eating. In the afternoon participants will experience hands-on whole food cooking lesson.
Today, you will focus on movement and venture to Hawaii's Volcano National Park for a 5-mile crater hike. In the evening Bree will guide participants through a self-massage using yoga tune-up balls.
Today you will focus on the lost art of rest. After yoga and meditation, you will have plenty of downtime as well as workshops on sleep optimization and discover the benefits of simply being rather than doing. Another restorative yoga session will be offered after dinner.
Today's topic will explore optimal hormone health throughout all stages of a women's life. You will celebrate your week of renewal with a bonfire in the evening.
This morning you'll visit a newly formed black sand beach for yoga, breakfast, and a closing mandala ritual that will symbolize the transformation each participant has experienced.
The retreat center is an off-grid facility, powered by solar and using rain water for flushing toilets. The center serves organic and locally grown food when possible.

The closest airport is Hilo. Free transfer to and from the Hilo Airport at select times on the first and last day of the retreat are included in the retreat price. You can also fly into Kona - transfer from Kona is not included.
