Here is a place for you alone to explore and grow, to recharge your batteries, work on issues. A place to nourish mind, body and soul. I will provide a peaceful and quiet space, away from frantic life and technology. I offer a retreat, a chance to be on your own and reflect on work, life, relationships,spirituality.It’s a place to explore the question you need answered. I offer the peace and quiet to do this. If you need support to do this then I can offer one to one sessions on your retreat. Visualisations, card readings, mindfulness, coaching, writing all will help you identify and know what comes next.
Description A lovely log Kabin in the garden. Your space to reflect, relax and do your own thing. Also where we can do workshops or you can explore your creativity, with lots of lovely materials to play with.
is a cosy upper flat in a rural setting. You have your own entrance and parking. It consists of a sitting room/kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.There are lovely rural views both to the front and rear of the property. As this is a reflective space, the hope is that you use this as down time from all things technological. Instead, immerse yourself in this retreat and in nature to feel renewed.
Along with your accommodation comes access to the log Kabin set in the rear garden. It is a lovely big space to use to draw, write, reflect, meditate or be crafty. There is also a rear patio where you can chill out and enjoy beautiful sunsets and starry skies. It is kitted out with basic materials to dabble in a range of activities, or just to sit and read or daydream.
If you want to do more focussed work then there are a range of packages that can be tailored to you and want you want to focus on. If you want to use your time to work on specific activities or aspects of yourself and your lifestyle then a tailored programme can be organised for your stay. We would contact you once the booking is made to plan this.

Yu have the choice of using the Kabin n your own to explore your creativity and wrk on issues you need to tackle. Additionally we can offer individual workshops and sessions to work in more depth on these issues. We provide therapists coaches and creative artists to cover MIND, BODY SOUL AND LIFESTYLE TOPICS. These can include dream work, mindfulness, grief and loss, weaving, painting, journaling just to name a few. Contact to discuss your wishes further.
Places to go and things to do
The retreat is in a quiet rural village in the Scottish Borders, where the nearest shopping towns, of Kelso or Coldstream, are five miles away, the glorious Berwickshire coast is 18miles away and Edinburgh 50 miles away.it is a place of history, spirituality and glorious scenery. The Kelpies are about an hour away and nearby the Falkirk Wheel and Stirling. Beautifu beaches, historic castles and keeps and wonderful walking and cycling routes. Lindisfarne, Alnwick Castle and Dawick gardens are all close by for days out.
Kelso is our nearest town, with a superstore, a lovely French style town centre and Floors Castle and the river tweed running through it. For the literati there is Abbotsford the home of Sir Walter Scott and the Eildons the supposed site of the Ballad of Thomas the Rhymer
The Scottish Borders is a hidden gem. It has an diverse and fascinating history and celebrates many long held traditions such as the Common Ridings. It is the land of Sir Walter Scott and a place of magic and myth with Holy Island on the coast, standing stones and Peel Towers. As a rural area there are many agricultural and fishing events events held in Kelso and Eyemouth, including The Herring Queen, the Kelso Show, Ram sales, the Dog Show just to name a few. Both Coast and countryside are easily accessible at St Abbs you can see Puffins, go diving and enjoy the marine life including seals, dolphins and kittiwakes. A bit further afield you can get boat trips out to the Farne Islands from Seahouses in Northumberland.
The Borders offers a wealth of places to eat out. They range from lovely garden centres, to local produce bistros and bars to Michelin star restaurants. You can visit the coast for delicious fish and chips, or local towns such as kelso and Coldstream offer a range of eateries, from pubs, to bistro’s to Indian and Chinese. There are also eateries focussing on using local produce to Garden Centres where you can browse the gifts and plants also. There is no shortage of places to go to eat and combine it with local history at our Castles and country estates.

Offer open from 1st January until 29th February 2020
There is partial access to the flat. There is a small step and a medium threshold step to enter. There is a stairlift for part of the stairs and then 3 steps with grab rails to help reach the top landing. The shower has a small lip and a portable grab rail to assist access. The bed is an electric one to assist posture, support and provide a good sleep. The Kabin has a ramp and access to a mobility scooter can be provided. A range of photographs is provided in the gallery photos to help assess its suitability. It is not fully wheelchair accessible, but could be for someone with limited mobility. A raised toilet adaptation can also be provided. Please contact me if you require more information.
We attempt to be as ecologically aware as we can be and use local produce and services as much as possible.
