Nab Cottage is a magical place. It dates from the 16 century and was home to Thomas de Quincey and Hartley Coleridge. Surrounded by mountains and overlooking Rydal Water there is accommodation in single and twin rooms, mostly en-suite, for up to 18 people and a beautiful workshop space in the attached converted barn.
We do all the cooking, preparing delicious vegetarian meals. Outside there is a wood-burning sauna and hot tub, a summer house, hammocks, a fire space and hidden corners to explore. Wide range of therapies available and direct lake access for swimming and canoeing
