The retreat centre is in a secluded mountain valley, surrounded by pine forest, with yurt accommodation is nestled in olive and fig groves. It is an oasis of peace in natural surroundings, simple and rustic with shared bathroom facilities, yet comfortable and beautifully maintained with all conveniences in the yurts.
The combination of great yoga, stunning unspoiled location, welcoming experienced staff and legendary food creates an experience for which teachers and guests have been returning year after year.
The spacious yoga shala has room for up to twenty-eight to practice and is fully equipped with mats, belts, blocks, bolsters and blankets.
Teachers invited to book this venue, please get in touch for more information, availability and prices.
It’s a fifteen-minute drive to the sea and the resort of Göcek with its seafront cafes and shops.
In light of the current international situation we would like to reassure you regarding the location of our retreats. We are more than 1000 km from the Syrian border and 800 km from Istanbul.
Those of you who have visited us before know, we are in a rural area and our local town is not a tourist ‘hotspot’ resort, so very unlikely to attract any potential problem.
We are carrying on as normal, as confident as one can be in these times.
The venue can accommodate up to a maximum of thirty in twin, triple and single bed yurts, with plenty of showers and loos in the spotless shared bathroom facilities. See the stars from your bed at night through the ‘eye of heaven’ at the apex of the yurts.
The natural stone swimming pool and a ‘kosk’ (traditional Turkish ‘treehouse’), are perfect spaces to relax in your free time.
Excursions can be arranged, including the ‘famous’ Huzur Vadisi boat trip for swimming with lunch aboard, sailing around the beautiful bays and islands of Göcek.
The area also has lovely mountain and forest walks, with far reaching views of the coast. Shopping or sightseeing trips can also be arranged, as can a trip to the Turkish baths.
Food makes an important contribution to the enjoyment of your yoga holiday and the meals at our venues share the same influences of delicious and healthy Mediterranean cuisine…. fresh, locally sourced and seasonal produce, olive oil, fresh vegetables, salads, pulses, pasta, rice, cheeses, yogurt and egg dishes are served buffet style with plenty of choice, with fruit, muesli, preserves, cheese, eggs, olives and homemade bread for breakfast.
Vegetarian by default, fish, chicken or meat dishes can be provided once or twice in the week if requested.
Some special diets can be accommodated, but please check with us first.
Yoga holidays and retreats run weekly from April to October. Due to most charter flights from UK to Dalaman being on a Monday, generally that is travel day (with a few exceptions).
Each week is individually priced; the price includes single or shared accommodation, all meals and yoga tuition, but not flights or transfers.
Anyone traveling to Turkey is now required to purchase an online visa before entering the country – this needs to be printed and taken with you.
The closest airport is Dalaman.
We request where possible that you book a flight to arrive not later than 9:00pm, although we will still meet you if this is not possible or your flight is delayed. Flight providers include Thomas Cook, Monarch, Thomson, Easyjet, British Airways, Pegasus and Turkish Airlines.
The transfer to Huzur Vadisi is 45 minutes. We can arrange transfers for you.
Your passport must be valid for a further six months from the date you leave Turkey.
