Cookie Policy
This page explains what we store on your device when you use our website, why we do it, and how you can stop it.
A cookie is a small file a website saves on your computer or phone. Some cookies are needed to make the site work. Others tell us how people use the site. We also use your browser’s own storage, which works in much the same way.
Cookies we have to use
These keep the site working. Without them you could not sign in, and you could not buy anything. We do not need your permission for these, but you can still block them in your browser if you are happy to lose those features.

Cookies that are not essential
These are not needed to run the site. They help us see how the site is used and where our customers came from. You can stop them at any time, and there are two ways to do it at the foot of this page.

Things we save in your browser
When you save a retreat to your favourites, we keep that list on your own device under the name trc_favourites. It never reaches us, and it disappears if you clear your browser data.
Other companies
Some parts of the site are run by other companies, and they may set their own cookies:
- Stripe takes card payments for us and checks for fraud.
- Google provides the anti-spam check on our contact form, the fonts the site uses, the map on our listing form, and Google Analytics.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising cookies that follow you around other websites.
How to turn cookies off
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies. Look for “Privacy” or “Cookies” in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies will stop the basket and sign in from working.
You can also turn off Google Analytics on every website you visit using Google’s own opt out tool.
